The OarRATER is a regular hand held stopwatch until you select the RATE (stroke) mode.
By pressing a button in time with the stroke of an observed crew, the rate is displayed on the LCD. As the rate changes so does the display.
No longer do you have to count strokes against a stopwatch and then do mental calculations. No longer do you have to buy an expensive stopwatch. The OarRATER is easy to use with one hand and also has a stopwatch mode. Ruggedly built and water resistant down to 3 meters, it will take a lot of abuse. The easily replaceable lithium battery will last more than 3 years under normal usage. It comes with a nylon neck cord.
The picture on the right shows the unit indicating a rate of 23 strokes per minute - and it is Tuesday!
